Seeking Those We Need to Meet – Learn how to do it together in our workshop.
We want to notice God at work in life, in the lives of ourselves and others. We also want to know the people God is sending us to – to be in God’s mission with them.
But we are very shy when it comes to having a conversation with someone else about what we deeply believe. Why do you think that is? Is it because we fear intruding on the other person? Is it because we are not curious bout what others think? Is it because we ourselves have no practice in verbalizing our deepest convictions? Why do we hesitate getting into the conversations that hold the most profound meaning? What if we could simply listen? Listen the other person into free speech about what is important in life?
“Dwelling in the World” is a workshop designed for people who would like to try listening someone into free speech but might need a little practice and support. To learn more or schedule a workshop e-mail Dr Pat Taylor Ellison: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Praise for the Dwelling in the World workshop
Jesus said, “Go make disciples.” But how do we do that? The Dwelling in the World workshop is a great benefit to get people thinking about how to connect with others of our community in the name of Jesus. It gives people a nudge and the confidence to see what this may look like in daily life. For us at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, the workshop was a catalyst for ten people to commit that they would seek out spiritual conversations and then come together in a small group setting to find encouragement and share stories. We all knew we should be doing this. The Dwelling in the World workshop was a resource to make it happen.
